Features
One small binary that moves data at the speed of the link
Falcon fft moves very large files over the network you already have: clean private links and long, lossy internet paths alike. It goes directly from your machine to theirs, encrypted end to end, with nothing in between.
No middleman
We never see your data
Transfers go straight from one machine to the other. There is no Falcon cloud, relay or storage in the path, so neither Falcon fft nor Makai Systems ever sees your files, their names, or who you send them to.
Every packet is encrypted with keys that exist only on the two machines in the transfer, and the shared secret that sets them up never crosses the network.
- Peer to peer: no upload to anyone's servers
- End-to-end encryption, on by default
- No accounts and nothing stored with us
Controlled networks
Fill 10, 25 and 100 Gbps pipes
Data centers, campus backbones, cloud networks and private interconnects have bandwidth that ordinary file tools leave idle. fft uses it, on its own: there's nothing to tune before the first run, and it can spread a transfer across several network adapters.
Public internet
Fast and encrypted over the open WAN
On the public internet, fft still sustains tens of gigabits per second, and every packet is encrypted and authenticated. Sessions are forward secret, a receiver accepts only senders that hold the shared secret, and forged or injected packets never reach the disk.
Long, lossy links
Full speed through latency and packet loss
Intercontinental links, satellite, cellular and congested peering slow most file tools to a crawl. fft keeps moving at the speed the path can really carry, and it stays a good neighbor: when the network is genuinely full, it backs off.
Peer to peer
No servers to run. No firewall tickets.
The two machines find each other and connect directly, even when both sit behind ordinary home or office routers. Share a one-line ticket and send. On private networks, connect straight to an address, or run fully offline on air-gapped networks.
$ fft recv --output ./incoming --show-ticket fft:eyJ2Ijox… $ fft send ./footage fft:eyJ2Ijox… -r
Efficient
Small, light and self-contained
fft is a single executable of a few megabytes with no dependencies: copy it onto a server, a laptop, a ship's workstation or a container and run it. Memory stays flat whatever the file size, so a 100 GB transfer runs in the same footprint as a 1 GB one.
Reliable
Verified, resumable, unattended
Every file is verified end to end as it streams. If a transfer is interrupted, run it again and only what's missing is sent. Whole folders, thousands of small files and always-on receivers are all built in.
Licensing
Licenses on demand, checked offline
A license is a short signed token: install it once and fft checks it on the machine, with no license server to reach. Air-gapped hosts can get a license bound to one machine. At launch you'll be able to buy and renew straight from the terminal.
$ fft license install fftlic:eyJ2Ijox… $ fft license status Status: valid
Automation and AI agents
Built to be driven by scripts and LLMs
Point a coding agent or an LLM at fft and it learns the whole tool from the binary itself: fft spec describes every command as JSON, always matching the installed version. Progress, diagnostics and transfer reports are machine-readable too, so fft drops into pipelines and agents without glue code.
Falcon fft and Makai Systems: not in the path
No middleman. We never see your data.
Every transfer goes peer to peer, straight from one machine to the other, encrypted with keys that exist only on those two machines. There is no Falcon cloud, relay or storage in between, so neither Falcon fft nor Makai Systems ever sees your files, their names, or who you send them to.
Try it on your own network
Falcon fft is in early access. Leave your email and we'll set up a trial on your own links.
